Last weekend was a pretty good one for me as I headed up to West Midlands for the first boat stop of the UK Pro Wakeboard Tour. Just outside Birmingham, this awesome lake has a long, sheltered course which provided some sweet conditions for the event.  I always have good memories of this place as it was where I won the Junior Nationals back in 2007 :)

The weather on the day was somewhat unpredictable, and went from sunshine to rain, and back, all day.  Other than this though it was a super awesome event, and it was great to see all the familiar faces, plus a couple new ones, back to keep the tour strong for 2011.   The girls all rode well and it was awesome to see some of the young girls stepping it up and getting involved in the tour.  I had a good couple of rides and managed to come away on top (wohoo! )

Big thanks to everyone involved in making the event happen, it was RAD.  Keep your eyes peeled for the 2nd boat stop which is at none other than Quayside on 30th September/1st October!  Check out the video below put together by White No Sugar’s Tim Royle!
